Admission Criteria
PGY 1 Residents Categorical Program
The internal medicine program participates in the ERAS program.
- Blocks
- Only applications submitted through ERAS prior to December 31 of the calendar year will be considered.
- Successful completion of USMLE steps I and II,
- Dean’s letter form the medical school where the applicant matriculated,
- Three letters of reference should be available to us in the ERAS database.
- All applicants must complete and pass the Clinical Skills Assessment examination
- Non-LCME certified graduates must have ECMG certified and English certifications.
The Morehouse School of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program accepts the following:
- Citizenship eligibility statuses:
- US citizen, permanent resident, or
- Ability to obtain J-1 exchange visitor status.
All non LCME certified medical school graduates that have been out of school of more than two years should have six months clinical experience within the US Medical System. The residency program does not offer externships or observerships to non-LCME matriculants
